President of GIBCA, Jamie Bowness

Jamie is the General Manager of the Granville Island Kids Market and has developed a deep appreciation for the unique community that makes it so special. He believes the Island’s greatest strength is its people - the independent businesses, artists, and organizations that bring it to life every day.

As President of GIBCA, Jamie is focused on bringing that community closer together, strengthening relationships and creating more opportunities for connection and collaboration. His goal is to help GIBCA build a stronger, more connected business community while celebrating and supporting the people who make Granville Island such a remarkable place.

Director of Treasury, Lou Ann Mendoza

Lou Ann is the Manager of Database and Ticketing System at Arts Club Theatre Company. As a long-time resident of Vancouver, Lou Ann's appreciation for Granville Island was always there but her passion truly began when she  started working for the Arts Club Theatre Company. She appreciates the history and story of the long-time companies, vendors, artists, and residents, and greatly desires the success and continuation of Granville Island and the people who make it up. In her spare time, Lou Ann enjoys cooking and gardening. 

Director of Communications, Julia Wickham

Julia is the Manager of Rogers' Chocolates on Granville Island. Since she was a little girl, Julia has always loved visiting Granville Island with her family and friends. From birthday celebrations, to pasta restocks, and ice cream runs - it's always been the place to be. Her favourite thing about working on the Island is the sense of community and the friends she's met along the way! In her spare time, Julia enjoys gardening and reading.

Director of Island Pride, Valerie Nufer

Valerie resides in the Sea Village Marina on Granville Island.
